Charging investments in emerging markets
Time: May 6, 2026, 13:15-14:00
With focus on Africa and Latin America
How can European and Nordic competence in charging technology, digital platforms and system integration align with emerging market demand for reliable infrastructure for passenger transport and freight?
European charging companies have over the past decade built extensive experience in financing, deploying and operating EV infrastructure, supported by advanced software platforms and increasingly sophisticated business models. While EV adoption in Europe continues to grow, the charging sector is becoming more competitive and capital-intensive.
At the same time, electric mobility is accelerating across several emerging economies that are open to foreign investment, technology partnerships and collaboration with Nordic and European actors. This applies not only to passenger vehicles, but increasingly to electrifying freight corridors, heavy-duty vehicles and commercial fleets, where the infrastructure needs are larger, more complex and closely linked to energy systems and logistics networks.
Join the discussion with our speakers who have direct experience from Africa and Latin America to see what opportunities there are for charging companies in these emerging markets!
