Hosaena A. Samuel is the Co-Founder and CEO of Eazy Power PLC, Ethiopia’s first private EV charging operator licensed by the Petroleum and Energy Authority. She is a leading voice in the deployment of charging infrastructure in one of the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing electric mobility markets. 

Hosaena has led the rollout of Ethiopia’s first commercial EV charging stations, including installations at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa and OLA Energy fuel stations, and is now scaling a national network of AC and DC chargers across commercial, hospitality, and fuel retail sectors. 

Operating at the forefront of Ethiopia’s transition-where over 100,000 EV’s are already on the road and fossil fuel vehicle imports have been banned – she brings hands-on experience in building viable charging business models in emerging markets. Her work focuses on unlocking scalable infrastructure through partnerships, investment, and practical deployment strategies.
