The annual Nordic EV Summit attracts visitors from all over the world, and it’s highly regrettable that we’ll not get the chance to meet this year. Our team is now working on delivering the best EV event of 2021, and we are very much looking forward to seeing all attendees in April 2021.
The event has been moved, both time and location. When and where?
The new event dates are 21st and 22nd of April, 2021. The event will be held at the Norway Trade Fairs in Lillestrøm, a suburb of Oslo with excellent train connections to downtown Oslo. For more information please see: http://www.norgesvaremesse.no/en/arrival/
Are my purchased tickets valid after the date change?
All tickets bought before the change are automatically valid for the new date. You don’t need new tickets or do anything other than present it at the check-in point.
According to the Nordic EV Summit’s terms of purchase, the customer’s claim to any reimbursement of amounts paid is void by force majeure (e.g. a pandemic).
Nordic EV Summit nevertheless wishes to commend those of you who have already secured your tickets for the 2020 event by offering to transfer your tickets to 2021.
You also have the option to change the name on your ticket up to 24 hours before the event starts. Transfer it to a client, colleague, or friend if your plans change.
My ticket also includes Welcome Reception and/or Networking Dinner, what will happen with these events?
Both the Welcome Reception and Networking Dinner will be arranged on the new dates. Please stay tuned for updates.
How do I get to the new location from downtown Oslo to Norway Trade Fairs?
The train from Oslo Central station, takes about ten minutes and has several departures from the station each hour. When in Lillestrøm, the Norway Trade Fairs is located next to the train station.
How do I get to the new location from the airport?
The Lillestrøm train station is the only stop between the airport and Oslo Central station on the Airport Express train. Just make sure you don’t board the Airport Express train that goes directly to Oslo Central. There are also local trains departing from Oslo Airport to Lillestrøm. Once in Lillestrøm, the Norway Trade Fairs is located next to the train station.
I’ve booked flights and hotel accommodation. Can you change this for me?
Unfortunately, we cannot change any reservations that we haven’t made in the name of Nordic EV Summit. However, speaking from our observations in the travel industry, most airlines and hotels are very liberal with moving travel dates and hotel nights these days. As long as the reservation stays. Please, do contact your travel agent or provider directly to arrange a date change.
Will there be changes in the event programme?
We are striving to keep as much as possible of the original line-up for the program, but minor changes will probably occur. The programme committee will be working hard to make sure the programme is as current, relevant and interesting as possible.
What happens if the COVID19 outbreak is not contained by April 21st and 22nd?
We don’t know how the situation will continue to unfold, but we believe we have made the best decision under the current circumstances to put our attendees, partners, and staff’s well-being first. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated on developments.
What kind of safety measures will be implemented at the event?
Our top priority is the welfare of our speakers, sponsors, attendees and staff. We will monitor the situation in the lead up to April 21st and 22nd, and adapt our plans according to advice from the health authorities. This way, we are acting on all pertinent safety measures for all attendees of the event.
The precautions we were already looking into prior to rescheduling:
- Increasing the cleaning and disinfection across the event, especially at high-volume touch points
- First aid staff available onsite providing an emergency medical assistance during the days of the event.
- Implementing a no-handshake policy, and increased signage to inform attendees of basic hygiene measures.
I submitted a visa request to travel to the conference in April, what will happen to my visa?
Please contact the Norwegian Embassy in the country where you submitted your visa application. We will be happy to help you with any questions.
Should I change my hotel to one closer to the new venue?
The venue is located in a city very close to Oslo. Usually, it’s a ten minute train ride from Oslo Central station which is next to the old venue. Once in Lillestrøm, the venue is a very short walk from the train station. If you’re able to change the dates of your accommodation in downtown Oslo, we recommend you stay in Oslo and take the train to Lillestrøm. Hotels nearby the venue with special rates, see: http://www.norgesvaremesse.no/en/hotel/
