Bjørn Utgård (NO)

Bjørn Utgård is a serial cleantech entrepreneur and a pioneering force in global e-mobility. Currently serving as Chief Product Officer at Skytree, CEO of Enviroinventions AS and ESS Marine, and owner of Utgard AS, he drives industrial and maritime decarbonization at scale.

​Since 2015, Bjørn has been a leading architect of electrification in emerging markets. He co-founded the Costa Rican Electric Mobility Association (ASOMOVE) and has authored award-winning research on the unique challenges of charging infrastructure in developing economies. During his tenure as VP Sales at EVBox, where he led a 10x revenue expansion, he was instrumental in co-developing budding EV charging businesses across Latin America, Africa, and APAC. ​

With nearly two decades of experience spanning four continents, Bjørn combines deep technical expertise with a practical understanding of regulatory frameworks and capital structuring. As Chair, he brings a unique “boots-on-the-ground” perspective to the challenge of aligning Nordic innovation with the rapid growth of transport and freight electrification in the Global South.
