Atle Gulbrandsen (NO)
Atle Gulbrandsen is the very definition of a “petrol head.” At the age of 12, he started karting, and he has been racing cars ever since. By 17, he became the world’s youngest Formula 1 commentator, and he currently announces Formula 1 for Viaplay in Norway.
Therefore, it comes as a surprise to some that Atle now travels around Norway giving lectures on electric cars. But as he says, “Anyone who loves cars should love electric vehicles. They pollute significantly less than combustion engine cars, and if we want to continue enjoying the freedom that cars provide, we must embrace the technology that cuts emissions the most.”
Today, Atle is the only person in the world who has driven a Formula E car, an electric rallycross supercar that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.7 seconds, an electric STCC car, and a Porsche Mission R with 1,088 horsepower. Few in the world have more experience with some of the fastest electric cars available, and Atle is not at all worried that driving will be less fun in the future!
