AMNESTY

Mark Dummett is researcher on Business and Human Rights at Amnesty International.

He investigates the ways in which corporations cause or contribute to human rights violations around the world. He was the lead author of the Amnesty International report, “This is What We Die For,” which exposed how cobalt mined by adults and children in dangerous and exploitative conditions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was entering the supply chains of many of the world’s largest consumer electronics and electric vehicle brands. Before joining Amnesty International, Mark Dummett was a journalist for BBC News.
