Lars Christian Bacher is a seasoned executive with more than three decades of experience in the energy industry. Today he serves as the CEO of Morrow Batteries ASA, a start-up company at the forefront of the transition to renewable power.
Lars Christian is a technology optimist with a deep understanding of industrial development. As the head of Morrow, he focuses on building the organisation through its diverse team of scientific problem solvers of more than 20 nationalities. He believes a strong culture, direction clarity, and thought diversity is instrumental for the fast-growing start-up. Lars Christian is energized daily by working with his colleagues to build a decarbonised future – powered by cost-effective and sustainable batteries.
Prior to joining Morrow, Lars Christian worked as a Senior Partner at the energy-oriented private equity-firm HitecVision, where he supported execution of investments including an IPO. Before that, he worked in Statoil/Equinor for about 30 years, where he held several executive positions, including having responsibility for production and projects in multiple countries, rising to become member of the Executive Committee for eight years including executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
