Candela Technology in 2022 after two decades of working on institutional development, environment and trade around the world including for the EU and the Swedish government. At Candela, she addresses the policy and public affairs challenges related to the company’s vessels destined for commercial use, highlighting the untapped potential of sustainable maritime solutions. Given the relative novelty of the technology, laws and regulations in many countries have not kept up and the possibilities the technology presents are not fully understood. Candela’s 100% electric and hydrofoling ferry, P-12, offers a cost-effective, holistic solution that allows for a paradigm shift in waterborne public transportation, encouraging a reevaluation of current systems and fostering a better integration into public transportation networks as a whole.
