Åsmund Møll Frengstad is a Norwegian technology entrepreneur and electric vehicle (EV) industry expert. He is the founder and Head of Partnership and Innovation in CURRENT, a leading provider of cloud-based Charge Point Management Systems (CPMS) for the EV charging industry. 

Frengstad Studied Mechanical Engineering at Norwegian University of Life Science (NMBU) where he founded the Ecotwin project in 2008 a hybrid vehicle for the Shell Eco marathon, He delivered the master thesis “Alternative Maritime Power Systems and their impact on emissions in Norwegian harbors”. He has over a decade of experience in the EV technology sector. Prior to founding CURRENT, he worked in various roles within the IoT industry. 

Under Frengstad’s leadership, CURRENT has established itself as a market leader in the CPMS industry, providing innovative solutions that enable EV charging operators to manage their charging networks more efficiently and effectively. And participating in European research projects such as SCALE, BiDCharge and SpotMe.
