Joining the recycling industry after having served as an infantry officer provided me with a firm leadership foundation and audacity needed to drive business development and change. 18 years, and almost as many assignments, later, I have achieved a solid industrial understanding of the Norwegian, European and global recycling industry and related fields. 

Seeing the recycling industry as the mirror to the production industry and consumption-markets, realizing we manage to utilize only 8% of our product material portfolio gives me a great confident on the potential and need for profitable and business driven circularity. 

As product area batteries director in Stena Recycling group I am leading one of the major European Recycling actors efforts within battery recycling- and battery life extension services with inhouse operations in seven markets and service provisions in almost all of Europe. My ambition, aligned with our strategy, is to develop and provide solutions and services. We strive to become the natural choice as sustainability partner for our customers and contribute with unique capabilities to create true circularity.
