Agnes Árnadóttir (IS)

Agnes Árnadóttir is the co-founder and CEO of Brim Explorer, a pioneering Norwegian company developing and operating silent, electric and hybrid-electric purpose-built sightseeing boats that set a new standard for sustainable ocean tourism.  

With a background from political science and her family’s whale watching business in Husavik in Iceland, Agnes has been instrumental in transforming how travelers experience the ocean — combining cutting-edge green technology with meaningful storytelling and local value creation. 

Under her leadership, Brim Explorer has grown from an idea into a recognized industry frontrunner, operating along the Norwegian coast and inspiring a new generation of travelers to become Ocean Ambassadors.  

Agnes is a frequent speaker on sustainable innovation, regenerative tourism, and women in leadership, advocating for a future where travel has a positive impact on both nature and communities.
