Sharon Hudson-Dean (US) – US Embassy in Oslo

Sharon Hudson Dean
Ms. Hudson-Dean is Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo.

A career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor, Ms. Hudson-Dean has over two decades of experience as an American diplomat and has represented the United States in Georgia, Russia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Nepal. She also worked in the State Department’s Bureau of South Asian Affairs and as an American Political Science Association Fellow in the U.S. Senate.

The United States Senate has now passed its $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill providing for $7.5 billion in charging network investments over a five-year period, with a portion set aside for low-income and rural areas. The bill also gives several new purchasing incentives for greener, more efficient vehicles in the U.S. The deadline for the bill to be voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives has been set to October 31st 2021.

Mr. Hudson-Dean will participate in the parallel session “EVs around the world” where she will give a keynote about the U.S. administrations policy and plans for future roll out of EV’s and charging infrastructure in the U.S. The session will be moderated by Ellen Hiep.
