Ms. Henna Virkkunen is member of the European Parliament elected from the Finnish National Coalition Party (Kansallinen Kokoomus) and is member of The EPP Group in the Parliament. Over the years, Ms. Virkkunen has served in multiple different positions of trust in the Finnish Municipality of Jyväskylä and the Finnish National Coalition Party. She was elected a Member of the Finnish Parliament in 2007. The following year, she was assigned the responsibilities of the Minister of Education and during her second term, she was the Finnish Minister of Public Administration, Local Government and Transport.
Ms. Virkkunen has been member of the European Parliament for seven years where she is currently member of the Parliaments Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN).
